Darryl graduated with a certificate in Health Coaching from Georgetown University. He is especially interested in executive wellness and seniors. He has a personal trainer certification from the International Sport Sciences Association (ISSA).
DC Mayor Muriel Bowser selected Darryl to be the Senior Coach for her FitDC initiative. FitDC is a new health and wellness initiative to encourage all District of Columbia residents to get out, move more and adopt a healthier, more active lifestyle. As the Senior Coach Darryl interacts with people across the District: staff from Department of Health, Parks and Recreation, citizens on Community Walks, seniors in retirement homes, and with the Ward FitDC Coaches.
He retired early from his first career as a SIS-05 senior executive with the CIA, earning the Career Intelligence Medal. He also has had a successful business as a consultant—working with over 30 companies—and continues to serve as a director on the boards of several technology companies.
During his career he served as the executive assistant to the Science Adviser to the President in the White House Science Office and has advised clients as diverse as mercenaries, clandestine officers, the military, CEOs, senior CIA executives, foreign leaders, and industry leaders from entertainment and Silicon Valley.
He has a Master of Science degree in industrial engineering, a Bachelor’s in mathematics, and is a graduate of the Senior Officials in National Security Program at Harvard. He lives in Washington, DC. He is Top Secret SCI cleared.
Razan has dedicated her life to making people healthier. After completing her undergraduate degree in Nutrition/Dietetics and graduate degree in Public Health, she opened her own practice, delivering nutrition education to over a thousand patients from various ages and health conditions.
In 2008 Razan brought her passion and expertise to the UAE. After working with Nestlé, one of the world’s largest food and beverage companies, she transitioned to her passion of community based projects and helping groups of people. She has broadened her consulting initiatives to help organizations—such as Unilever and others—reach their consumers, clients and staff through nutrition and health awareness. Since 2010 she has advised UNICEF as a Nutrition Consultant, managing and implementing projects for obesity prevention for around 10,000 children in the UAE.
In 2015 Razan moved to Washington, D.C. to embark on a new health journey. She is a certified Health Coach from Georgetown University and now helps individuals, groups and companies reach their optimal health goals locally and internationally in English and Arabic.
She has over 150 appearances as a nutrition expert on some of the most prestigious Middle Eastern TV channels, including MBC Group and Dubai TV.
